  • Urban Morphology and Integrative Efficacy in Quito’s Major Metropolitan Parks

“It becomes increasingly difficult as years pass and built forms of the city are raised to create public green space that is not antagonistic to its neighborhood”

“The green space of these parks is of proportionately lower service quality and value to the city and its residents”

“Although the initiative succeeded in achieving a city-wide green space per capita figure over nine square meters, the figure is functionally skewed as it tells of a more equitable and accessible park system than the population’s lived reality (Carrión, 1993), meaning the necessary service radius of each park increases.”
