Retired General Stanley A. McChrystal will discuss his belief in universal national service, military or civilian, for Americans ages 18-28 in a talk titled “Compulsory National Service: Has the Time Come?” at 8 p.m. in Kraushaar Auditorium. Acclaimed poet Claudia Rankine will be in Buchner Hall of the Alumnae/i House at 7:30 p.m. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, and educated at Williams College and Columbia University, Rankine is the author of four collections of poetry. This event is free and open to the public, and no tickets are necessary. More info here.

Four food trucks-The Jolly Pig, Sexy Vegie, Iced Gems, and Fowl Play-are coming to campus for lunch. Proceeds from the food trucks will go towards the Greater Goucher Fund. Cash and credit cards will be accepted at the event in the Alumni House Parking lot from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. More info here.
