Goucher receives more than $3M to establish endowed professorships in data analytics and Asian studies

Goucher College has received more than $3,000,000 in grants and donations to establish two new endowed professorships. Matched by alumnae/i contributions, the Maryland E-Nnovation Initiative Fund has awarded Goucher $1,000,000 in grants to establish an endowed professorship in integrative data analytics. This data-science faculty position will support the college’s new integrative data analytics major and lead programming to develop students’ data analytics skills. Goucher has also announced the establishment of the John A. Luetkemeyer, Sr. Endowed Chair Fund, an endowed professorship in Mandarin Chinese and Asian studies. This new endowed professorship supports the hallmark of a Goucher education – global learning.

Goucher founding member of racial equity alliance

Goucher College is a founding member of the Liberal Arts College Racial Equity Leadership Alliance. Based at the University of Southern California Race and Equity Center, the alliance brings together some of the most highly respected liberal arts colleges in America to collaborate on developing and achieving equity goals and fostering sustainable cultures of inclusion on their campuses.
