\nChemistry, Music, Professional Writing<\/span><\/i>
\nReese is a sophomore Chemistry Major with a Music and Professional Writing Double Minor. He enjoys working with all types of writing, but mainly enjoys working with science writing and media analysis. He is most familiar with MLA and Chicago writing styles. As well as working in the writing center, Reese performs in two bands and enjoys writing\/listening to music, playing video games, and hanging out with friends.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nSociology & Anthropology, Psychology, Legal Studies<\/span><\/i>
\nXyn is a junior majoring in Sociology and Anthropology with minors in Psychology and Legal Studies. They would love to help with any stage of the writing process, including brainstorming, outlining, organization, and revision. Xyn is familiar with MLA, APA, Chicago, and Bluebook citation styles. They have the most experience in argumentative pieces, research papers, and creative writing (especially poetry and short stories). You can find them in the library, at the gym, or outside reading on particularly nice days. Xyn loves singing with the Goucher Choral Society, watching movies with friends, crocheting, baking, and listening to music.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nPolitical Science, Spanish<\/span><\/i>
\nJasmine is a junior Political Science major and a Spanish and Legal studies double minor. She loves all stages of the writing process, and particularly enjoys both research-based or creative pieces like personal essays. She is most familiar with MLA and Chicago styles. Alongside the Writing Center, Jasmine is on the Goucher Women\u2019s Soccer team and enjoys listening to music, playing Stardew Valley, and hanging out with friends.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nPeace Studies, Music, Professional Writing<\/span><\/i>
\nRileigh Ann is a senior majoring in Peace Studies and minoring in Music and Professional Writing. She enjoys helping with all parts of the writing process but is best at brainstorming, helping with research, and talking through content or concepts. She is most familiar with MLA and APA citation styles. When not studying Rileigh Ann can be found playing music, reading, enjoying a cup of tea, and tracking earthquakes.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\nIbrahim is a sophomore double majoring in Economics and Data Science. He enjoys working with writers at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming and outlining to revising and polishing final drafts. As someone who puts high value on clear structure and analysis, he loves helping students strengthen their arguments, improve organization, and express their ideas with confidence.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nHaseen Amini<\/b>, she\/her
\nEconomics, International Relations<\/span><\/i>
\nHaseen is Afghan-Canadian, human rights advocate focused on girls\u2019 rights to education and women\u2019s empowerment. She is a UWC Canada alumna (Lester B. Pearson College) and multilingual scholar with a strong research interest in the Economics of languages. Haseen holds a TESOL certification and has experience supporting non-native, bilinguals and multilingual learners. She is available to assist with writing resolution papers on global issues, resumes and statements of interest.

\nBreana is a sophomore majoring in Professional and Creative Writing. She is happy to help with all parts of the writing process, especially with brainstorming. She is most familiar with APA and MLA style formats and citations. She loves creative works and is comfortable with all types such as fiction, nonfiction, personal narratives and poems. Outside the writing center she loves to watch international shows, listen to music and play games on her Wii.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nPsychology, Creative Writing<\/span><\/i>
\nMax is a junior double majoring in Psychology and Creative Writing. She can work with you at any stage during the writing process, but they very much enjoy working with vocabulary, word choice, brainstorming, and outlining. She\u2019s very familiar with most citation styles, but is proficient in MLA, Chicago, and APA. Max can work with any piece, but enjoys working with analytical and creative pieces the most. When Max isn\u2019t working on writing, she\u2019s usually either playing video games, listening to music, or scrolling Instagram reels.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nOlivia is a junior taking both tracks in Creative & Professional Writing. She would love to help you brainstorm, plan, and write any creative and academic papers, for classroom or for personal use! Additionally, if you just need someone to body double with\u2013 Olivia\u2019s your gal. In her free time, Olivia writes her own personal sci-fy, fantasy, or horror stories and reads like a fiend.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nKourtney is a sophomore double majoring in Biology and Environmental Science with a minor in Literary Studies. She loves assisting in any part of the writing process, though she has the most experience in science writing. She is comfortable with using APA and MLA style formats as well as citing in them. In her free time she loves to read, hang out with her friends, paint, draw, crochet, and do hair.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nSara is a junior double majoring in media studies and integrative arts studies, with a minor in theatre and creative writing. She loves assisting in the brainstorming and editing process. She can help with any type of paper, but specifically enjoys helping with creative writing pieces and journalism articles, along with argumentative pieces. Sara is most familiar with MLA and Chicago citations. Outside of the writing center, Sara loves hanging out with friends, gaming, watching sitcoms, and crafting.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nNikki is a junior majoring in Creative Writing with a minor in Studio Art. They would love to help you craft a paper for your psych class, brainstorm ideas for your next short story, or support you in any other way they can. They are most comfortable with MLA and APA, but are happy to help with other citation styles as well. Nikki thrives during the brainstorming and revision processes. In her free time, she likes to make new outfits, play noisy synthesizers, and nap with her cat.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

As well as working in the writing center, Sanai is on Goucher\u2019s women’s basketball team and a member of our campus’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) chapter. He loves reading everything from research papers to poems, so don\u2019t be afraid to bring in anything you\u2019re working on. \nTovah Oslovich is a junior double majoring in dance and creative and professional writing. He is happy to help with all parts of the writing process, but especially enjoys brainstorming, and outlining. He can look over first drafts, and work through content organization efficiently. They are most familiar with the MLA citation style but are happy to lend a hand with others. They are especially excited to help with creative work, such as personal narratives or fiction pieces, but he\u2019ll do his best with any piece of writing he is brought. When Tovah has some time to themself, they love to play guitar, create digital art, or listen to their favorite podcast.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

When not tutoring or working on personal writing projects, Maya also stays busy working in the Alumnae\/i House. \nEden is a senior chemistry major with a biology minor and pre-nursing concentration. They are happy to work on any part of your writing, but they are good at citations in APA and MLA and lab reports. He loves working on outlines. They are happy to read your creative pieces and would love to talk about your research and process. Eden loves learning new things, so they may ask you many questions. Outside the writing center, he mostly works but has been slowly working through Sherlock based shows. They have a perfect dog named Cricket and will show you pictures if you bring them up.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nEconomics, Business Management<\/span><\/i>
\nDaya is a junior economics major with a minor in business management. She is excited to work within any aspect of the writing process but particularly enjoys the revision and outlining process, as well as research, argumentative, and expository pieces. Daya is proficient in MLA but can absolutely work with you to apply the citation style you desire. Outside of the athenaeum, you can find her running on campus with her cross country and track teammates or facetiming her cats back home!<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nIntegrative Art, Studio Art<\/span><\/i>
\nAlison is a junior integrative art major and has a minor in studio art. She enjoys working on any stage of the writing process, but finds the most joy in either the pre-writing stages or in reviewing the finished product. Their favorite type of writing is fictional, but she also has a lot of experience in writing papers. Their most comfortable style of citations is MLA, but they will happily dive into different styles as needed. Outside of the writing center, Alison is a passionate artist and graphic designer who will talk your head off about art. She also is reliving a bit of her childhood by rereading the Warrior Cats book series. <\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nLana Oweidat<\/strong>, she\/her\/hers
\nLana Oweidat is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Writing Center at Goucher College. Her doctorate degree is in rhetoric and composition, and she holds a graduate certificate in women\u2019s, gender, and sexuality studies. She teaches writing and rhetoric courses with an emphasis on writing pedagogies, border discourses, and transnational narratives. Her research tackles tutor training, feminist rhetorics, as well as multilingual composition and anti-Islamophobia pedagogies.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
