Four Goucher faculty embark on ‘Year of Exploration’
Four Goucher College faculty members have been selected as the 2023 recipients of the Myra Berman Kurtz Fund for Faculty Research and Exploration of the Sciences (KRES Fund) Year of Exploration. The professors’ fields include political science, physics, literary studies, and business management.
Goucher College launches Campus Master Plan
Goucher College has launched its new Campus Master Plan (CMP), which envisions the future of the 287-acre campus over the next 15 years and proposes a more student-centered, accessible, and sustainable vision for Goucher’s future. Leading up to Goucher’s 150th anniversary in 2035, this plan considers the evolving needs of students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community. The plan is the first comprehensive assessment of Goucher’s campus in almost 30 years.
Goucher College to receive $2 million for science and sustainability
Goucher College will receive $2 million from the federal government to support sciences and sustainability initiatives as part of this year’s omnibus appropriations bill recently signed into law. The college will receive $1.25 million to outfit life and health sciences teaching labs as well as $750,000 to install solar panels on campus.
