This lab is focused on two areas of research: (1) culture and positive psychology, and (2) anti-racist transformative learning.
Studies of culture and positive psychology center on people of Black African descent, with particular concern for examinations into:

- Cultural Identity
- Cultural Coping
- Cultural Praxis & Subjective Well-being
Studies of anti-racist transformative learning focus on inquiries into:
- Motivations
- Cognitive Frame of References
- Mental Points of View

Culture & Positive Psychology Research Lab Information
I typically apprentice 1-2 students over an 8 week period during the summer. I welcome your interest in this work. Completion of PSY 219 Cultural Psychology Black Psychology and/or PSY 379 Seminar in Cultural Psychology: Psychology of White Racism with at least a grade of B+ is a minimal requirement.
