For more than 100 years, Goucher College has been home to horses and riders. The equestrian team is nationally ranked in the Top 10, and this spring celebrated an eighth-place finish in the IHSA National Championship.<\/p>\n
While the beautiful jumping field welcomes visitors at the front of campus, the horses, a part of Goucher\u2019s equestrian program, are at home in the campus barn. There, students can interact with the horses while participating in wellness events, taking riding lessons, or enrolling in equine studies minor classes.<\/p>\n
There is so much energy in the barn. Horses are being groomed while barn cats meander, dogs greet visitors, and students and staff busily tend to the animals and one another. While the Goucher College equestrian center is only a short walk from the academic quad, it feels as though it is in its own serene world.<\/p>\n
