Born in Odessa, he trained at the Moscow Conservatory of Music (1901-06) and became a concert pianist and prolific composer. He wrote the first Hebrew opera, The Pioneers of Palestine<\/em> (aka Hechalutz<\/em>). He emigrated to the U.S. and settled in New York with his family. His works were performed in New York at such cultural landmarks as Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, City Center (formerly the Mecca Temple), and the 92nd St Y. This book is written by his granddaughter, Ellen Weinberg Mausner.<\/p>\n

On television, each episode involves new patients whom the doctor meets for the first time. Practicing medicine for 44 years, Daly sometimes met her patients as toddlers, delivered their babies, and knew them as grandparents or even great-grandparents.
