The Soper Room <\/strong>is the resource room for the Kratz Center for Creative Writing and Goucher’s Creative Writing Program<\/a><\/strong>. Made possible by a donation from Eleanor Kratz Denoon<\/strong><\/a> during the Julia Rogers renovation project of 2009, the Soper Room remains a dedicated common space for creative writing, hosting classes, events, readings, and open-door time for students.<\/p>\n

The Soper Room is home to a physical collection of books published by Kratz Center Visiting Authors<\/a><\/strong>, Spring Writers<\/strong><\/a>, and guest artists at master classes, special events, and symposia. It also includes emerging titles, trade publications, anthologies, and literary magazines, including past editions of Goucher’s own literary magazine: The Preface<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
