Mileah Kromer, assistant professor of political science and director of the Sarah T. Hughes Field Politics Center, has revamped the Hughes Center Politician-in-Residence Program to connect students to their state and local governments. Current politician-in-residence is Baltimore City Councilman Brandon Scott. During the upcoming spring semester, students will be invited to attend a Public Safety Committee meeting of the Baltimore City Council, which Scott vice-chairs. To end the residency, students will be given the opportunity to have dinner and engage in discussion with the councilman in April.
