Goucher Honored for Great Teaching

The American Council on Education (ACE) recognized Goucher College for its commitment to excellence in teaching at ACE’s 99th annual meeting in March.

Goucher and 13 other institutions were honored for their leadership in an awards ceremony. The colleges and universities have all partnered with ACUE, a program in collaboration with ACE, to implement evidence-based teaching practices. To accomplish this, faculty take online development courses in effective instruction. The ceremony marked the first anniversary of the program.

“These institutions have shown outstanding leadership through their work to ensure students receive what they deserve: great instruction,” said Elmira Mangum, 11th president of Florida A&M and a member of ACUE’s Board of Advisors. For more information, visit www.acue.org.
