Goucher Alumna Chosen as Teaching Fellow

Goucher alumna Gaby Davis ’16 was one of three people chosen as a teaching fellow at Gilman, a private independent boys school in Baltimore.

The Gilman website says, “Each year, the school supports one-year teaching fellowships for recent college graduates who are interested in a career in education. Fellows have the opportunity to learn about the teaching profession through a program of guided work in the classroom, professional development experiences, and the support of an experienced mentor teacher.”

Davis will assist with Gilman’s Lower School Science Program and coach soccer.

While at Goucher, Davis earned a degree in Environmental Studies and Chemistry. She was a four-year starter on the varsity soccer team at Goucher and was named 2nd Team All-Landmark Conference in 2014 and finished among Goucher’s all-time assist leaders.
