Ailish Hopper, assistant professor of peace studies, co-curated the poetry for a special issue of Urbanite, responding to the uprising in April. The theme is “Truth and Reconciliation.” Also, she is on a panel at the Baltimore Museum of Art, “Seeing Color: A Conversation about Race & Art,” on Saturday, November 14 at 2 p.m., along with a number of other local scholars and artists. She’ll be talking about the ways that historical forms of racial domination still play out, via an analysis of art works in the museum’s collection. More info here.
