More than 2,600 alumnae/i, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends chose to support Goucher College between July 2023 and June 2024—nearly a 25% increase over the previous year! These generous gifts strengthen our Goucher community, making a difference for our people and programs.

Global Education

Part of the college’s mission is to cultivate global changemakers. Collaborating with Goucher stakeholders, the program provides students with a global perspective that prepares them to navigate societal issues that transcend geography and nationalities. 100% of Goucher students study abroad with assistance from this program.

Goucher Prison Education Partnership

In its 12th year, the Goucher Prison Education Partnership (GPEP) continues to expand its reach and impact. Last year, five GPEP students earned their Goucher bachelor’s, and five former GPEP students are now enrolled on campus, including a master’s candidate. There are also two children of former GPEP students enrolled at Goucher. Philanthropic gifts fund 80% of GPEP’s budget.

Micro-Internships Program

This growing program saw more than 98 hosts and student participants—the latter receiving payments from the philanthropy-fueled Goucher Internship Fellowship Fund and other internship funds.

Greater Goucher Fund

The Greater Goucher Fund (GGF) provides funding to the college’s areas of greatest need. Your generosity to the GGF and other unrestricted program funds enables Goucher to invest in the immediate needs of the institution. Last year, the GGF and unrestricted philanthropy supported:

  • Programmatic and transportation funds for Community-Based Learning (CBL), providing students with real-world experiences and career skills.
  • Environmental sustainability initiatives across campus, including composting and recycling programs.
  • Access to professional development resources for faculty in the Natural, Computer & Data Sciences Center.

Planned Giving

Second Century Associates

Planned gifts can transform the lives of future generations and ensure that Goucher College thrives well into its second century.

  • Eight new commitments received in FY24
  • 470 supporters currently including Goucher College in their estate plans

$55M, the largest gift in Goucher’s history,

was committed as a legacy gift from Anica Donnan Rawnsley ’51 to support scholarships for future generations of students.

Annual Giving

Goucher Challenge 2024

The AAGC challenged the college community to participate in the 2024 giving day and make it the best yet.

  • 352 Donors
  • $123,033 total raised, including day of and the matching gifts
  • Over 60 participants registered as Challenge Advocates. By sharing the AAGC campaign, they raised over $6,000!

Blue & Gold Athletic Giving Week

  • Over 900 donors—a 284% increase in donors in one year!
  • Over $65,000 for athletics
  • 11 teams met or exceeded their donor goals

The [UNDAUNTED] journey culminates with the final project, the Science Innovation Center.

$4.2 Million

in commitments were received in FY24 for the construction of the Science Innovation Center, a key priority of the [UNDAUNTED] Campaign.

sponsored named spaces in the Science Research Center during FY24.

Groundbreaking for the center is anticipated in spring 2025.
