Over 180

programs and initiatives
were supported by Goucher Philanthropists, including:

Community-Based Learning programs

provide travel expenses for more than 100 student volunteers for service work at local farms, food and housing insecurity organizations, social impact groups, and tutoring positions in Baltimore County Public Schools, as well as transportation for 37 courses with integrated community-engaged learning curriculums.

The Janet Cane Fisher ’38 Fund

which provided
$11,245 in emergency aid to students and their families.

The virtual Micro-Internships Program

which saw more than 113 alumni volunteers and student participants—the latter receiving payments from the philanthropy-fueled Goucher Internship Fellowship Fund and other internship funds.

was raised for financial aid and 4 new scholarships were created in Fiscal Year 2022-23.

Greater Goucher Fund

The Greater Goucher Fund (GGF) provides funding to the College’s areas of greatest need. Your unrestricted generosity to the GGF and other unrestricted program funds enable Goucher to invest in the immediate needs of the institution. Last year, the GGF and unrestricted philanthropy supported:

  • Equipment and software purchases for the Department of Data, Mathematical, and Computational Sciences
  • Instructional materials and publication purchases, as well as printing of exhibition catalogs for the Department of Studio Art
  • Travel expenses and conference fees for faculty within the Department of Political Science

Season of Giving

The 3rd annual Season of Giving was the most successful yet, seeing more than 580 Goucher Philanthropists give

Crushing our goal by twenty percent!

President Kent Devereaux and his wife, Jan Sutcliffe, donated $10 for every donor who participated in the Season of Giving, directing their contribution to a fund chosen by students. Over 70 students voted to support the Goucher Advocates for Emotional Wellness Fund. Lynn K. Ingalls, Class of 1978 and Parent of the Class of 2023, matched an additional $2,500 during the Season of Giving.

Blue & Gold Society

The Blue and Gold Athletics Fund supports Goucher’s athletic programs. More than $239,000 was raised in support of 14 teams—from Men’s Tennis to the sixth nationally ranked Goucher Equestrian Team, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2023.
