Washington DC, National Museum of African American History and Culture, February 28, 2020 \u2013 May 6, 2021 [Exhibtion]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uncle&#8217;s Tom Cabin was written by Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811\u20131896) and first published in March 1852 to inform readers of the appalling realities of American slavery. <!--more-->The exhibit will take place at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.edu\/museums\/african-american-museum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"unit-title\">National Museum of African American History and Culture <\/span><\/a>to show the early and notable editions of the novel in the library\u2019s collection, as well as its interesting publishing history.
