Maring Eberlein ’15

MaringEberleinHeadshot1smallerName: Maring Eberlein

Class: 2015

Hometown: Fairhope, Alabama

Major: Communications and Media Studies
Minor: almost certainly French

Interests: I have been riding horses since I was about nine, have two horses at home, and I’m a member of the equestrian team. I love movies, old and new. I’ll watch anything that doesn’t leave creepy images in my head. I also indulge in people watching, especially at airports.

Involvement on Campus: Ambassador; Community Assistant; Equestrian Team; staff writer for The Quindecim Independent Student Newspaper; and Programming Board, organizing campus and community events such as Gala and Get Into Goucher (GIG)

Why I Love Goucher: I can explore anything and everything here, and I know that I’m getting a very well-rounded education. Academically, and otherwise, the school has prepared me for anything. From the wide variety of people and places I’ve experienced through the school, I know I’ll make it no matter what I encounter.

Ambitions: I’d like to work in media or film; I’d like to write; I’d like to work with kids; I’d like to travel. I might like to live abroad to teach English. I’d like to keep riding horses and maintaining the relationships I’ve formed over the years. I don’t know what the future holds, but that’s what’s great about Goucher. I can pursue what I enjoy, and know that whatever comes my way, I’ll be OK.
