Dana Ehrentreu ’16

DanaEhrentreuHeadshot2Name: Dana Ehrentreu

Class: 2016

Hometown: Paramus, New Jersey

Major: Psychology

Interests: I love to explore, meet and greet, visit new places and learn about new cultures. I have traveled cross-country from New York to California, and even to Alaska. Internationally, I have been to Europe and Asia, including Israel and Thailand. My passion for horses is indescribable. I ride both at home and even when I am traveling, especially in Texas.

Involvement on Campus: Peer Listeners, a campus support network; Student Health Advisory Club (SHAC); Green Dot, a sexual violence prevention initiative; Sexual Misconduct Education Committee; and Talmar Gardens, offering horticultural therapy and assistance

Why I love Goucher: At a big university, I would get lost in the shuffle, but at Goucher, the moment I put myself out there, I am met with students and staff throwing incredible opportunities at me. So long as I am open, I can make a difference on and off campus and get that liberal arts education that allows me to try anything and everything.

Ambitions: I would like to eventually get my Ph.D. in clinical psychology and have my own practice, where I could fulfill my passion for listening to, understanding, and helping people. I would also like to own a ranch with 10 horses and as many acres as possible! Of course I will continue to travel throughout my life; next on my “to go” list are India and Africa.
