Being mindful is easier than ever with the ability to download apps onto your smartphone or computer, so meditating is at your convenience. To name a few:

  • The Headspace Meditation App is a free app that provides programs to guide you through step-by-step training programs for the mind. There are 365 daily individual meditation sessions, motivational support, inspiring podcasts, meditation reminder, and reports of your progress. There are also random intermittent ‘mindfulness buzzers’ throughout the day to check in with yourself and maintain your awareness.
  • The Mindfulness App by MindApps ($1.99) provides guided meditation practices of three, five, fifteen, and thirty minute sessions, with a silent meditation option and brief body-scan practice.
  • Mind Meditation Timer is a free app that is very simply a timer that begins by prompting you to relax and focus on your breathing, then ends with three chimes.
  • The Lotus Bud Mindfulness Bell is also a free app with a bell that rings periodically to remind you to be present.
