Mildred Dunnock Theatre 1021 Dulaney Valley Rd, Towson, MD 21286, USA
A play by Anaïs Allais Benbouali. Performed in French, with English supertitles.
Two young women, one of them French and one a refugee, both adrift in contemporary France, find themselves to be awkward roommates with each other and also with some bats who have roosted under their apartment’s roof. The play looks humorously at the absurdities of everyday living, while also treating seriously and tenderly themes of grief, memory, loss of security and the value of risk.
This production is co-sponsored by Goucher’s Theatre and French programs,
and is part of the FR/THE 272Y course, French Theatre in Avignon, Marseille and Paris.
