The Goucher Equestrian Team is headed to the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) National Championship for the fifth year in a row. The team was crowned Zone IV Reserve Champions on April 9.
“I am overwhelmed with pride for this team, who worked tirelessly to make this happen,” said Equestrian Director Jennifer Bunty. “A special thanks to everyone who helped us along the way.”
The team will face off against 15 schools around the country at the in Lexington, KY, from May 5-8. Riders Anna Carmichael ’16, Fanny Eaton ’16, and Cary Hundley ’18 also qualified as individuals.
Last year, Goucher placed 7th in the country at the IHSA National Championship, and Joey Fink ’15 won first place in open equitation on the flat.
