Goucher Psychology Attended the 2015 Meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA)

Fourteen Goucher psychology students and four faculty members attended and presented five research posters at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association.

Associate Professor Katherine Choe attended the conference with research team members Tara Brightbill ‘16 and Danielle Hallacker ‘17, presenting a poster titled “The Influence of Emotion on the Perception of Temporal Duration in Children.”

Associate Professor Dara Friedman-Wheeler presented a poster titled “Do Mood Regulation Strategies for Specific Coping Strategies Predict Their Use?” with research team members Emily Carlson ’15 and Christie Hoffman ’16.

Friedman-Wheeler also presented a poster co-authored with Department Chair and Associate Professor Jennifer McCabe and research team members Julia Pearce ‘15 and Alyssa Hauptman ’15; the poster was titled “SET for Success: Targeted Instruction in Learning Strategies and Behavior Change.”

Associate Professor Jennifer McCabe presented a poster with research team members Bianca Stern ‘15 and Alyssa Hauptman ‘15, titled “Drawing from Memory: Providing and Generating Pictures During Keyword Mnemonic Learning.”

Assistant Professor Ann McKim attended the conference with research team members Nell Andersson ‘15, Kellyn Brower ‘15, Jessica Leffers ‘16, Amanda Paulino ‘16, Hans Weih ‘16, and Erik Lund ‘16. The poster was titled “From Dismal to Delightful: The Effects of Feng Shui and Grapefruit Scent on Mood and Energy.”
