The Goucher Physics Club, a local chapter of the national Society of Physics Students, has been named an outstanding chapter for 2013-2014 as a result of its achievements during the year. These achievements include winning a research award to design and construct a cloud chamber, as well as membership growth, participation in student recruitment and retention, interaction with faculty and alumnae/i, and outreach. The Physics Department faculty congratulates them, and chapter presidents Alissa Murray ’14 and Phoebe Yeoh ’15, on their achievement!
