This coming Spring, the Walters Art Museum will be hosting a special series of four exhibitions about maps and mapping.  The first to open will be the highly anticipated exhibit of images of the universe taken by the Hubble telescope.  While the images may not be maps in the technical sense, Gary Vikan, in believes that these images represent the most contemporary expression of a long history of map making.   Be the judge of that yourself and check out this one-of-a-kind art show.  The exhibit is open Wednesday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is up from February 2nd through July 27th.  For more information, and to see the rest of the exhibits that are in the works for the Walters, click here.
