campaign to save planet picks up eco-friendly steam

This year’s environmental campaign at Goucher continues following the September 7th Campus Conversation with these great upcoming events on campus:
- Tuesday, September 25th - Bon Appetit will sponsor an “Eat Local Challenge” to support food producers in our community and the local economy, serving lunch made entirely from ingredients originating within a 150 mile radius of campus.
- Thursday, September 27th - In Heubeck Lounge at 7:30 p.m. Nathan Engstrom, coordinator of Oberlin College’s Office of Environmental Sustainability, will discuss why colleges must adopt ecologically responsible policies.
- Friday, September 28th - Goucher will host a Farmer’s Market and Environmental Resource Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the courtyard of the Alumnae/i House and Pearlstone Atrium, respectively.
- Monday, October 1st - In Buchner Hall at 7 p.m. Hillel, the Goucher Climate Action Group, the Agriculture Co-Op, and the President’s Office will co-host a conversation with Joan Norman, Director and Head Farmer at One Straw Farm in White Hall, MD
