Tired of going to the Towson Commons and being disappointed by another movie. Want to be entertained by innovative films directed by visionary directors? Or maybe you are an aspiring film studies major, looking to become the next Kubrick, Kurosawa, or maybe just Michael Bay? Then get ready for the 2007 Maryland Film Festival. The Film Fest will be May 3rd through May 6th. There are three days full of events for film aficionados, aspiring directors, and just casual film fans. The Festival’s home page can be seen here, which gives a detailed run-down of all the weekend’s events. Tickets can be purchased in advance at MISSIONTIX.COM. If you’ve got an extra $250 lying around and really love supporting independent filmmakers, there is the all-access pass that gives you access to pretty much everything except dressing rooms. Opening night screening and after-party costs $35, closing night and after-party is $25, individual tickets are $10, individual student and senior tickets are $8.
