confronting slavery: scholarship and interpretation in the 21st century

Join noted scholars on Friday, April 13th for a free day-long symposium about the issues of scholarship and the interpretation of slavery in America, as well as the difficulties public historians face when addressing slavery. The symposium will feature talks on specific aspects of African-American history, as well as a keynote address by Lonnie Bunch III, director of the National Museum of African-American History.
