The CDO will host Bonnie Marson, author of “Sleeping with Shubert,” on campus Thursday, April 12th at 6 p.m. in the Soper Room. This book has won Best book of the year from The Washington Post and an Editor’s Pick from The New York Times. Before turning her creative energies toward writing, Bonnie was a working artist, mostly making paintings and drawings, but also playing with other media. Her work sold in galleries and to collectors around the country. “Sleeping with Schubert” is Bonnie Marson™s second piece of fiction. The first was a short story called “The Sphinx,” which won honorable mention in the Society of Southwestern Authors writing contest in 1994. She started a second short story but set it aside for several years until a friend suggested she “keep writing till it™s finished.” Schubert is the finished story. For more info, contact the CDO.
