On February 26th Tom Kelliher, associate professor of Mathematics & Computer Science, will embark on a journey through one of the last bastions of the American wilderness when he sets out on a 6 month trek across the Appalachian Trail. He will be starting at the southern end of the trail, at Springer Mountain and spend the next 6 months following white blazes (the marker to follow when hiking on the trial) through many of the eastern states with Mount Katahdin, in Maine, on his sights. You can track his progress through his blog, and read periodic updates of life on the trail. Best of luck, Tom, and remember, leaves of three let them be!
