Rape Aggression Defense Systems (R.A.D.) is a national network of self-defense classes endorsed by the International Association of College Law Enforcement Agencies and geared specifically towards women. The R.A.D. philosophy is that self defense should be easy to learn, easy to retain, and relatively easy to employ during real confrontational situations. See if that philosophy holds true on March 1st when Community Living Coordinator Ashley Ulmer and Director of Public Safety Alexis Marchesiello lead a R.A.D. demonstration in the Gopher Hole at 9 p.m. Learn how to defend yourself in real-life situations, and what you can do to prevent yourself from becoming a victim.
