Recycling, it’s not just for hippies anymore. With the ever-increasing problems associated with global warming, recycling and the dependency on reusable resources are becoming more in vogue than low rider jeans and Justin Timberlake combined! Goucher is getting in on all the recycling madness by participating in Recyclemania. What’s Recyclemania you ask? It’s only a 10 week nationwide competition to see which college can reduce the most waste per capita. The winning college will receive the “make-your-God-wrathful-because-you-covet-it-so-much” Recyclemania trophy and bragging rights for the year. The competition will begin on campus soon, so keep your eyes peeled for updates and announcements regarding Recyclemania so you know where to get your recycling fix. And just remember, even if Goucher loses the competition, we’ll all be winners in the long run.
