After an incredible Send-Off party in East Boothbay, Maine with Morgan Mitchell ’13 at the Smuggler’s Cove Inn, we stopped for gas in Portland and found a chance Goucher connection. As Eli started fiddling with the pump, a man asked us about our van and what Goucher was doing in Maine. Turns out, he was the husband of Dorian Rogers Winslow ’78, who was inside the gas station. He ran inside with a Vagabonds t-shirt, and she came out a few minutes later, t-shirt in hand, to talk to us about her time at Goucher. An Art History major, Dorian told us about her best friend and freshman roommate at Goucher with whom she remains close.
Just goes to show, it’s a small Goucher world after all!
